Elevating onboard dining with a bespoke serviceware collection
Challenge
As part of its ambition to enhance the onboard experience, Eurostar set out to refresh its serviceware offering across its premium travel classes. The objective was to create a more refined dining presentation while supporting the company’s sustainability goals.
Eurostar was looking for a bespoke solution that would reflect its modern brand positioning, improve the guest experience, and provide consistency across different onboard service formats.
Solution
Working closely with Eurostar, deSter developed a custom serviceware collection built around its PURE chinaware design. Inspired by elegant curves and contemporary styling, the collection was tailored specifically to Eurostar’s onboard environment and service requirements.
The range combines premium aesthetics with operational practicality and forms the foundation for a broader serviceware program, including matching reusable SAN items introduced on additional European routes.

Impact
The new serviceware collection helps transform onboard dining into a more premium and memorable experience for Eurostar guests. Through thoughtful design and close collaboration, deSter delivered a solution that balances aesthetics, passenger experience and sustainability.
The project demonstrates how tailored onboard products can support both brand differentiation and operational objectives, helping Eurostar further position rail travel as a premium travel experience in its own right.
