As airlines continue to invest in onboard experience as a key brand differentiator, tableware plays an important role in how service quality is perceived across cabin classes. deSter is proud to support Brussels Airlines in the rollout of enhanced onboard tableware as part of the airline’s wider investment in passenger experience.
Rolling out progressively throughout 2026, the upgraded onboard product now includes redesigned tableware for key service concepts, with the first elements having entered service from mid‑March . The enhancements are especially visible in Premium Economy on long-haul routes, where passengers will benefit from a more premium dining presentation, while additional product improvements are also being introduced in other cabins, including reusable premium cups in Economy Class.
Developed in close collaboration with Brussels Airlines, the new tableware solutions were created to support a refined onboard service experience while meeting the practical requirements of airline operations. The result is a collection of service items that helps strengthen presentation, improve consistency and reinforce the airline’s evolving onboard identity.
This latest introduction builds on a long-standing partnership between deSter and Brussels Airlines. Over the years, we have worked together on a range of onboard service solutions, reflecting a shared focus on quality, functionality and passenger experience. The new tableware rollout marks another milestone in that collaboration, combining operational performance with an elevated look and feel onboard.
“Onboard service items play an important role in how passengers perceive the travel experience,” said Vincent Allaerts, Senior Manager Business Development Travel Europe. “We are proud to contribute to Brussels Airlines’ vision by delivering tableware solutions that combine aesthetics, functionality and operational performance. This latest launch is also a testament to the strong relationship between our teams and our shared commitment to continuous improvement.”

“Brussels Airlines is on a journey to overhaul the entire passenger experience. From big and bold investments, like Wi-Fi, new cabins and a renovated lounge, to smaller enhancements like improved menus and tableware: passengers will feel our dedication to their travel experience across all touchpoints. Our aim is to create a boutique hotel in the air and on the ground, and these investments reflect exactly that.” Thibaut Dewilde, Head of Inflight Product, Brussels Airlines
